We built the platform our classroom needed.
Librola began with a classroom Spanish teacher, thirty kids, and thirty minutes — and no elementary platform that put reading first. So we built one: original stories read in two mirrored languages, then circled, retold, and played. Zero prep.
Reading first
The lane nobody else owns.
Elementary Spanish has plenty of songs and flashcards. What it was missing is the thing that makes language stick: real reading. Librola is built on TPRS and comprehensible input — the storytelling method elementary language teachers trust — and every unit follows the same four moves.
Read
The class reads in the Librola Reader — Spanish and English side by side, with narration.
Circle
Ready-made circling questions stack the repetitions: yes/no, either/or, question words.
Retell
Students rebuild the story in their own words, sentence by sentence, with support.
Play
Games recycle the same structures — words your class will beg to repeat.

Our chapter books are original, starting with Vito y el Gran Vuelo — a young condor in Peru's Cañón del Colca who everyone says will be as magnificent as his grandfather, someday. Real culture, high-frequency language, and characters worth coming back for, written in meaning units so highlighting and narration line up perfectly.
A founding commitment
Built in, not bolted on.
Every roster includes learners who read with their ears, their fingers, or extra time — so from the first sketch, the reader was designed for screen readers and Braille displays, with picture mode and adjustable narration speed.
